The past month has been pretty hectic for us with our Caribbean and California getaways and it is pretty nice to be “home” again and doing what we do best . . . goofing off.  We’ll be here on Jekyll Island for the next week and then we’ll be heading to Savannah.  Beyond that we haven’t a clue as to where we’ll be heading next.  But y’all stay tuned to this channel and we’ll let ya know as soon as we do.  We recently heard from one of our friends who requested to be taken off this “update” list because they have a satellite phone system and the download time for all the pictures we send was getting pretty expensive for them.  If any of you would like to be removed from this, for any reason, please let us know.  We promise not to get upset nor remove you from our Christmas card list.  See ya soon!  Hugs, Chuck and Kalyn

We’re headin’ north!!  After 6 months in Flori-duh we have finally completed our circumnavigation of the state and are now sitting atop Jekyll Island in southern Georgia . . .

The area abounds in history and, our personal favorite, lots of great restaurants.  I often feel that we have eaten our way across America.  We did manage to get in a little exercise when we visited the St. Augustine Light Station . . . and actually climbed the 219 steps to the top...

After returning from our Caribbean cruise we made a mad dash across the country to California to visit our siblings, kidlings and grand-kidling.  Naturally, we flew!  We had a great visit although we didn’t get to see everyone that we wanted to visit.  Maybe next time??!!  After 2 weeks in the land of “gray-outs,” we once more returned to Orlando and headed out the next morning for St. Augustine.  We “camped” for the next 10 days beneath a huge oak tree at the local Elks lodge on Anastasia island...
